Mynul Hasan Sohel, General Secretary of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), served as the convener of the election conducting committee.
The ‘IMCAB Night’ was held under the chairmanship of the organization’s outgoing president and Dainik Ei Samay correspondent, Kuddus Afrad. Attendees included Gokul V.K., First Secretary of the Indian High Commission; Ayub Bhuiyan, General Secretary of the National Press Club; Somnath Dey, President of the Bangladesh chapter of Vishva Hindu Parishad; Farid Hossain, IMCAB’s founding convener and advisor; Anisur Rahman, advisor and PTI correspondent; and Dwip Azad, former General Secretary of IMCAB, among others. The event concluded with a captivating cultural program.
Shahin Chowdhury (Tripura Express) and Masum Billah (Dainik Jugasankha and Eastern Chronicle) have been elected President and General Secretary, respectively, of the ‘Indian Media Correspondents Association, Bangladesh’ (IMCAB)—an organization representing various Indian media outlets operating in Bangladesh.
