HPCL ramps up LPG supply network, delivers over 290 lakh cylinders across India in April

State-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) said it has strengthened its nationwide LPG distribution network through faster logistics, large-scale operations and coordinated supply management, delivering more than 290 lakh LPG cylinders across the country between April 1 and April 23, 2026. The company said its supply strategy is driven by three key pillars — speed, scale and synchronisation — allowing it to manage rising demand while maintaining stable distribution across its network. HPCL said it supplied over 6.18 lakh Free Trade LPG cylinders of 5 kg and more than 25,000 cylinders of 2 kg during the period to improve access to affordable cooking fuel.

To meet demand, the company increased dispatch frequency, reduced turnaround time at bottling plants and strengthened last-mile delivery operations. HPCL said over 1,77,693 fuel tankers were dispatched during the period to ensure uninterrupted replenishment across regions. The company added that 99.2 per cent of LPG bookings are now made through digital platforms, helping speed up allocation and delivery processes through real-time tracking and routing systems.

In Guwahati, steady LPG availability is crucial for consumers and commercial establishments across Assam and the Northeast, where demand often rises during festive and seasonal periods. HPCL’s enhanced logistics and coordinated distribution network are expected to support uninterrupted supply in the Guwahati market and nearby regions, helping avoid shortages and delivery delays.
