Nestlé India has announced an expanded flood-relief initiative across Assam, Nagaland and Odisha, working with local administrations to provide essential supplies to communities affected by flooding.
In Assam, Nestlé India coordinated with the District Commissioners of Jorhat and Sivasagar to support relief operations. The company provided 4,000 grocery kits, including 2,000 kits each for affected communities in Jorhat and Sivasagar. The Assam Disaster Relief Team and local authorities supported the timely distribution of the kits.
In Nagaland, following outreach to the District Commissioner of Mon, Nestlé India provided 1,000 grocery kits to flood-affected communities. The District Administration and local civil bodies supported the distribution.
In Odisha, the company worked with the District Administration in Bhadrak to provide assistance in Chandbali Tehsil and Tihidi Block, comprising 3,000 grocery kits and 1,000 hygiene kits.
In Jorhat, the distribution of 2,000 grocery kits provides direct support to households facing flood-related disruptions. With essential supplies potentially affected by logistical and accessibility challenges during flooding, coordinated relief efforts can help vulnerable families meet immediate consumption needs while local authorities work to restore normal conditions.
