HPCL delivers over 323 lakh LPG cylinders across India in massive supply drive

State-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has delivered more than 323 lakh LPG cylinders across India between April 1 and April 26, 2026, highlighting the scale and strength of its nationwide fuel distribution network amid rising energy demand. The company said its LPG distribution system continued to operate smoothly across cities, towns and remote regions, supported by a strong logistics network. During the period, HPCL dispatched over 1,86,644 tankers carrying fuel products, including 403 tankers on April 26 alone, to ensure uninterrupted replenishment across its supply chain.

HPCL also reported growing demand for smaller LPG cylinders. The company supplied over 6.84 lakh Free Trade LPG cylinders of 5 kg and more than 26,000 cylinders of 2 kg, catering to migrant workers, small vendors and households seeking affordable energy solutions. According to the company, 99.5 per cent of LPG bookings are now being made through digital platforms, helping improve allocation, routing and timely deliveries through real-time processing systems.

To maintain transparency and operational discipline, HPCL conducted 6,026 inspections between March 14 and April 26. The company took action against 163 distributors, suspended 34 distributors, carried out 664 raids, registered 44 FIRs and seized 4,155 LPG cylinders. In Guwahati, LPG distributors said steady supplies and faster digital booking systems have helped ensure uninterrupted cylinder availability for households and commercial users. Market observers noted that demand for smaller LPG cylinders has also increased in the city, particularly among small businesses and migrant workers. HPCL said LPG supplies remain stable across its network and urged consumers to avoid unnecessary stocking to ensure smooth distribution for all users.
