HP India has announced the availability of the HP OmniPad 12, an India-first 2-in-1 device aimed at students, first-time users, MSMEs and young professionals seeking laptop-like productivity with tablet portability.The device features a detachable keyboard, allowing users to switch between a touch-based tablet and laptop-style setup. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and runs on Android 16. The OmniPad 12 sports a 12-inch 2K multi-touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 400 nits brightness and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz.
The device offers up to 18 hours of battery life and weighs 600 grams in tablet mode. Other features include quad speakers with DTS Ultra, dual microphones, an 8MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, 8GB LPDDR5 memory and expandable storage of up to 1TB.HP Senior Director – Personal Systems, India, VineetGehani, said the device was designed for India’s diverse user base across learning, business and digital activities. Its starting price of Rs 48,999 places it in the premium tablet/entry-level laptop segment.
The device is available in Denim Blue and Meteor Silver through HP’s online store, Amazon, Reliance, Flipkart, Croma, Vijay Sales and HP World stores. Launch offers include Rs 5,000 cashback on select SBI and HDFC credit cards and a one-year free subscription package covering multiple AI platforms.
