Courtyard By Marriott Shillong celebrated the festive season with its first annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 10th, 2023, marking the start of a joyous holiday season.Patrons were warmly welcomed and the venue transformed into a winter wonderland with sparkling lights, festive decorations, and a magnificent Christmas tree.
The tree, adorned with glittering ornaments, symbolized hope and unity for the upcoming holiday season, bringing a festive atmosphere to the event. The evening’s highlight was the tree lighting, where the crowd counted down to illuminate the Christmas tree in a warm golden glow. The enchanting theme, “Night Under the Stars,” captivated participants from diverse backgrounds, allowing them to unite and cherish the holiday season.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including ShriConrad Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri D P Wahlang, Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Shri Paul Lyngdoh, Tourism Minister, and Smti R M Kurbah, Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills District.
