An ex-student of Jadavpur University was arrested on Friday and charged with murder in connection with the death of first-year student Swapnadeep Kundu on Thursday.Saurabh Chowdhury, the prime suspect in Swapnadeep's death, had completed his Masters in Mathematics from the university in 2022, but still shot at the main boys' hostel, lived there and was unofficially in charge of the hostel mess committee.
