Heatwave warning in Bengal till Thursday

Light rain is forecast in North Bengal on Tuesday. Temperatures may drop slightly in South Bengal by the end of the week. The meteorological department assures the change of weather in South Bengal from the day of Eid. The temperature may drop.

A heat wave is going to affect us until Thursday. Hot and muggy weather may persist through Friday. The weather department has heard such fears. Even if there is no significant change in temperature, similar conditions will continue for another three to four days. For now, there is no chance of rain in the south Bengal districts for four days.

Residents of South Bengal will suffer from dry and uncomfortable heat. Temperatures will be two to five degrees above normal in various districts. Heatwave warning in almost all districts of South Bengal including Kolkata till next Thursday. It is known that the loo will flow as the day progresses.

The weather may change in South Bengal on the day of Eid, Saturday, April 22. There can be some relief from the scorching heat. Scattered light rain is likely over three to four districts including coastal districts by the end of the week.

The weather may change in the hilly districts of North Bengal from Wednesday. Between Thursday and Saturday, there is a chance of rain with one or two thundershowers in neighboring hilly districts including Darjeeling, and Kalimpong. Light rain with thundershowers is likely in the upper 5 districts of North Bengal on Saturday and Sunday.

Temperature is 5 degrees above normal in five districts of North Bengal. weather is hot in Darjeeling too. Heat waves are likely in the lower three districts of North Bengal. Apart from two-three hilly districts of North Bengal, rest of the districts are experiencing heatwave-like conditions. A heatwave warning has been issued for Malda, North and South Dinajpur.

Somewhere in Malda and Dinajpur there may be a similar situation. Other districts except hilly areas will experience hot and uncomfortable weather. In the meantime, the weather department announced the relief.
