Nasa capsule returns to Earth with largest asteroid sample ever collected

The largest sample collected from an asteroid in space, and the first for NASA, landed in the Utah desert on Sunday after a fiery final descent through Earth's atmosphere, seven years after the mission's launch."Touchdown of the Osiris-Rex sample return capsule. The one-billion-mile journey to asteroid Bennu and back is complete," a commentator said on NASA's live video webcast of the landing. The sample collected from Bennu in 2020 is estimated by the US space agency to contain about 250 grams (nine ounces) of the material, much more than the previous two asteroid samples brought back by the Japanese mission.

Indian space agency Isro says no signal yet from Chandrayaan-3

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Friday said it has not received any signal from the Chandrayaan-3 mission's Vikram lander and Pragyan rover. The space agency is continuing its efforts to establish contact and confirm their status. An ISRO official had earlier said that the ground stations would try to revive the lander and rover and their on-board instruments on Thursday or Friday after a dawn break on the Moon and optimal sunlight. The Surat Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested tutor Mitul Trivedi after he gave a media interview claiming that he was an ISRO scientist who designed Chandrayaan-3's Vikram lander.
