AIMIM President, Asaduddin Owaisi ahead of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) implementation within the nation, moves to Supreme Court. According to the sources, Owaisi seeks stay on CAA implementation. He states that earlier 1.5 lakh Muslims reportedly excluded from the National Register of Citizens (NRC) list in Assam and 12 lakh Hindus were listed in the NRC. Addressing the matter, Owaisi asked for fair and non-discriminatory approach towards granting citizenship, as minorities from neighbouring countries deserve protection.
