AIMIM President, Asaduddin Owaisi ahead of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) implementation within the nation, moves to Supreme Court. According to the sources, Owaisi seeks stay on CAA implementation. He states that earlier 1.5 lakh Muslims reportedly excluded from the National Register of Citizens (NRC) list in Assam and 12 lakh Hindus were listed in the NRC. Addressing the matter, Owaisi asked for fair and non-discriminatory approach towards granting citizenship, as minorities from neighbouring countries deserve protection. Therefore, citizenship should not be awarded based on religious grounds

ECI holds meeting for the schedule of Lok Sabha 2024

Ahead of Lok sabha elections 2024, Election Commission of India (ECI) has held a press conference at New Delhi to announce the schedule for General Elections to Lok Sabha and some State Legislative Assemblies. According to the sources, the ECI has slated to announce the schedule by March 16.
