Assam Police rescues a family from traffickers

On Thursday, the Assam Police rescued seven people, including a woman with her son from a house in Kamrup district where they were kept before being smuggled to Punjab. Eviction drive major steps in Nagaon district

The Assam government will launch a major eviction drive on 1,200 bighas (about 397 acres) of allegedly encroached land in the Nagaon district.
