Despite Assam-Meghalaya border dispute peaceful environment witnessed

Three months ago, people in Assam-Meghalaya clashed in Mukroh village when Assam forest guards intercepted a truck transporting illegally cut timber. Five residents of Meghalaya and a forest guard from Assam were killed during the violent clashes. Residents of Mukroh village are demanding to indulge in dancing and cheering in the election rally ahead of assembly polls on February 27. Mukroh falls under Mookaiaw assembly constituency in West Jaintia Hills district of East Meghalaya. Pawan khera tendered apology for his objectional remark

On Thursday, Congress leader Pawan Khera was arrested by the Assam Police from the Delhi airport for filing an FIR against Assam. Earlier, the Congress leader had also made some alleged comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Road accident; 5 lives ended

On Friday, five people lives ended as they met with an accident near Balipara in Assam's Sontipur district. According to the reports, the incident occurred due the vehicle they were travelling lost control and crashed into a roadside ditch and they were on the way to Tezpur. Further for now deceased identities are not recognized as their bodies are sent for post-mortem. Police are investigating also some other people were injured during the incident. They are shifted to the nearby hospital.

Another murder case from Jorhat, Assam

On Monday night, a drunken youth cuts off his friend’s head after an argument. The incident took place on Jorhat, Assam dibrugarh district. The accused is identified as Lohit Gogoi and the victim is identified as Ratul Saura Alias Fai. According to the reports, both were drinking together at the former’s house. Pawan Khera deplaned from Indigo flight

On Thrusday, Congress leader Pawan Khera got arrested at Delhi airport.
