Workshop in 31 district of Assam held, 11,000 performers and musician are booked for the celebration. This year Assam is aiming for Guinness World record for the folk dance of Assam. On Wednesday, The Assam Petroleum Mazdoor Union (APMU) has announced for a strike in Assam. The date is schedule from 4th March. According to the reports, the strike is for demanding higher remuneration and other statutory benefits. Also the workers will stop loading and unloading at seven LPG plants in Assam -- six owned by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and one by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL). On February 25, a robbery was foiled near No. 1 Dhansirikhuti Daifang village under Rowta police station of Udalguri.  A man was encountered during the movement.
