PM inaugurates new Metro line in Bengaluru

The 13.71 km, Rs 4,249 crore Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Krishnarajapura Metro Line, which has 12 stations, was officially opened here on Friday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The operational East-West Corridor (Purple Line), which runs from Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield Station, is said to be extended to the east by this stretch, according to officials. They added that this will shorten travel time on this route by 40% and ease traffic congestion.

Narendra Modi to witness state’s effort to Guinness World Record in Assam

Rahul Gandhi, the Wayanad-based Congressman who was recently found guilty of criminal defamation, has been expelled from the Lok Sabha. According to the terms of Article 102 (1)(e) of the Constitution and Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, Mr. Gandhi is ineligible to serve in the Lok Sabha as of the date of his conviction, according to a notification from the lower house signed by Secretary General Utpal Kumar Singh. Assam & Meghalaya fails to provide tap water in rural areas

World Water Day was celebrated on Wednesday, 22 March. Jal Jeevan Mission was inaugurated in the northeast states tp provide tap water in every rural household. But as per reports, Assam and Meghalaya both the states have failed to complete the target to more than half of the families in the states.
