The state Legislature was informed on Monday that the Gujarat government has paid Adani Power and Tata Power a total of Rs 16,900 crore for the purchase of power over the previous two years.Data presented by Energy Minister Kanubhai Desai during Question Hour shows that in 2021 and 2022, the state government paid Adani Power Mundra Ltd. Rs. 8,160 crore and Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd. Rs. 8,784 crore, respectively.According to Desai, the state government paid Adani Power Rs 2,760 crore in 2021 for 5,589 million units and Rs 5,400 crore in 2022 for approximately 6,000 million.
