Sub-Inspector of Nagaon found accepting bribe from complainant

On Wednesday, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption team’s investigation a sub-inspector from Nagaon Police station was caught red handed allegedly accepting bribe. The accused is identified as Suruzul Haque sub-inspector of Nagaon Police station. According to the sources, the inspector demanded bribe for giving relief to the complainant from old pending case. The Anti-Corruption team of Assam is on investigation.  From last month reports the team arrested two government employees in bribe case.

An official reported that the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad has detained a 27-year-old man in connection with the Kerala express train fire that claimed the lives of three persons on Wednesday. The official stated that the suspect had "confessed" to being involved in the fire.
