Meeting held between teachers and Assam CM

Newly Principals and teachers were recruited in 19 new Tea Garden Adarsha Vidyalayas of the state, Assam as informed earlier by the state government. On Thursday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta BIswa Sarma interacted with those recruited principals and teachers which was held in Guwahati. During the meeting, Assam Chief Minister also reviewed issues of Mid-Day Meal (MDM), free textbooks, uniforms, water, electricity bills etc. of the new Tea Garden Adarsha Vidyalayas.

5 crore saplings to be planted over the state, Assam

MK Yadav, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force of Assam Forest department told, Assam Forest Department has decided to plant 5 crore saplings in the state during the fiscal year 2023-24 to improve forest cover in the state. Gas loaded tanker caught fire

On Wednesday, a gas loaded tanker met with an accident near Assam’s Sonapur area in Kamrup districts. According to the reports, the accident took place due leakage gas from the gas tanker bearing registration number AS-01FC-5453. The tanker caught into fire, immediately fire service personnel were rushed in the spot. A local police detailed about the incident saying, “The tanker was coming from Guwahati. The driver lost his control and crossed over the divider. One person, a worker of the vehicle, got injured and was sent to hospital.”

Failed class 10 students can appear again, if they re-apply

High School Leaving Certificate Examinations (HSLC) 2023, the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) have recently announced its result for class 10 matric candidates. Assam cancels class 10 board examination

On Monday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced no board examination for class 10 students. No matric examination will be conduct in the state Assam; schools will now administer internal exams in order to advance students to the next level. Students will appear in Class 12 board exam, not in Class 10.
