The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, successfully organized a Regional Consultative Workshop on “Promoting Non-Institutionalized Rehabilitation of Children with Special Needs (Divyan Children)” today in Guwahati. The day-long consultation witnessed participation of 122 stakeholders, including representatives from State Adoption Resource Agencies (SARAs), Specialized Adoption Agencies (SAAs), District Child Protection Units (DCPUs), Chief Medical Officers, health professionals, child protection functionaries, and adoption practitioners from across the Northeast region.
