India logged 2,85,914 new coronavirus infections, taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,00,85,116. 73rd Republic Day celebration at Rajput with 21 gun salute

Madhya Pradesh government have directed FIR against Amazon

The Madhya Pradesh government has directed the police to register FIR against Amazon and its owner for allegedly selling products, including shoes, with the image of the Indian national flag. "It has come to my notice that our national flag is used on products being sold by the online e-commerce platform Amazon. It is intolerable that even it (the national flag) has been used on shoes," Mr Mishra, who is the state government spokesman, told reporters. "I have directed Director General of Police (DGP) to file an FIR against Amazon's officials and owner," Mr Mishra added.

Grenade blast in Srinagar, 4 injured

Republic Day celebration in Srinagar, terrorists threw grenade targeting security personal, 4 injured including police officer and two women, according to the reports. The grenade was thrown at a team of security personnel at Hari Singh High Street. The injured were rushed to a hospital where their condition is said to be stable now. A 32 year old auto driver was beaten to dead by some mob in Malad in north Mumbi on suspicion that he was a thief. Dibrugarh University receives ISO Certification

Dibrugarh University in Assam has received ISO certification. Two certificates, bearing registration numbers ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 have been issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to the varsity. "It is joyous news for us. This recognition from ISO has encouraged our university immensely," said vice-chancellor LK Nath. Registrar Jiten Hazarika said the certification marks the varsity's presence in the international arena. Maharashtra parents aren’t willing to send their children to school

According to the survey conducted by the online community platform LocalCircle, about 62 percent of parents aren’t willing to send their children to school amid the state government decision to reopen school from Monday, 24 January. Of the total, 67 per cent of respondents were men and the remaining 33 per cent women.
