Death tolls to 227 fresh in Ladakh, post covid-19 situation

One person died of coronavirus in Ladakh, while 227 fresh cases pushed the overall virus tally in the Union Territory to 25,763.The new death was reported from Leh district.A total of 1,144 people were tested for COVID-19 in the twin districts and 227 of them returned positive. They included 134 in Leh and 93 in Kargil.There are 1,261 active cases with 854 in Leh and 407 in Kargil, according to the reports.

NCR’s Mathura-Palwal fourth line project completed

North Central Railways has completed its Mathura-Palwal fourth line project, sanctioned by the Railway Board in 2015-16. The project covers 668.7 crore.Rundhi-Sholaka, Sholaka-Hodal, and Hodal-Chhata sections were opened for traffic as both were commissioned subsequently.With the commissioning of the Chhata-Bhuteshwar section on Thursday, the project has been completed in a major thrust to mobility.According to the reports, with the commissioning of the fourth line, Agra Division of NCR now will have two lines at its disposal for improving the punctuality of trains.

Rajasthan surge to 10,437 fresh COVID-19 cases, 22 deaths

Rajasthan recorded 10,437 fresh COVID-19 cases and 22 deaths on Saturday.According to the reports,  Jaipur (four), Udaipur (three), Kota, Jhunjhunu and Bikaner (two each), Ajmer, Barmer, Bharatpur, Dausa, Jalore, Jodhpur, Karauli, Rajsamand and Tonk (one each).A  maximum of 2,408 cases were reported from Jaipur followed by 999 in Jodhpur, 746 in Alwar, 572 in Kota and 567 in Udaipur. Rests of the cases were reported from other districts of the state.The number of active cases in the state is 74,849.
