Army personnel and militants broke an encounter

On Monday, in a forest of Tinsukia district an encounter broke between army and militants. According to sources, the exchange of fire started at around 9.20am in Barpathar when the Army team was patrolling the area. A defense spokesperson said, “The army patrol was on routine duty when the encounter started. Details are awaited. The operation is still on.” The Pengeri-Digboi road has been closed to the public and additional forces due to the shelling.

Third Assam-Mizoram border dispute talk to place

Assam-Mizoram border disputes talk for third round to take place on November 17. According to reports, the event was originally scheduled to be held on November 4, but was postponed owing to the visit of President Droupadi Murmu to Mizoram. The event will take place in Guwahati, as proposed by Assam Government. Mizoram delegations will be leaving the state by 16 November. Additionally, five government official delegations led by ministers Lalchamliana and Lalruatkim will be visiting Assam for the third-round talk.

Dengu cases active in Assam, 84 detected so far

According to sources, Karbi Anglong suffers the worst with 65 records. And cases from other parts of the state. SP, magistrate and more held in case of sexual assault-murder

A 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and killed in the Darrang district. The victim was found dead at her employer's house in June, where she worked as a domestic worker.
