Gauhati High Court Rejects Bail Plea in Zubeen Garg Death Case

The Gauhati High Court has rejected the bail plea of Shyamkanu Mahanta in connection with the death case of renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, who died in Singapore on September 19, 2025. Meanwhile, the Fast Track Court completed the hearing on the bail applications filed by four other accused in the case. After hearing arguments from both the prosecution and defence, the court reserved its order on the pleas. The accused who sought bail are Amritaprabha Mahanta, Sandipan Garg, Paresh Baishya, and Nandeshwar Bora. The court is scheduled to pronounce its order on the four bail petitions on June 8.…
