New FD Interest Rates of HDFC Bank

India’s leading private sector bank, HDFC Bank has recently raised the interest rates on FDs worth less than Rs 2 crore. The new rates will be effective from February 14, according to the bank’s official website. HDFC Bank will offer an interest rate of 5.45 per cent for FDs maturing between three years one day to five years. Rahul Bajaj, Former Chairman of Bajaj Auto, Dies at 83

Rahul Bajaj, veteran industrialist, Padma Bhushan awardee and former chairman of Bajaj Auto passed away at the age of 83 in Pune on Saturday, 12 February. After taking over the Bajaj Group in 1965, he stepped down as the non-executive director and chairman of the company in April 2021. The company said that he had retired due to age. Besides heading Bajaj Auto, he also spearheaded the CSR activities of the Bajaj Group of companies and charitable trusts, including the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation. 6.17 cr ITRs, 19 lakh major TARs filed on new e-filing portal

Around 6.17 crore ITRs and about 19 lakh major TARs have been filed on the new e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department as of 6 February. Out of 6.17 crore ITRs filed for AY 2021-22, 48% of these are ITR-1 (2.97 crore), 9% is ITR-2 (56 lakh), 13% is ITR-3 (81.6 lakh), 27% are ITR-4 (1.65 crore), ITR-5 (10.9 lakh), ITR-6 (4.84 lakh) and ITR-7 (1.32 lakh).
