After four days of great display of passion and grit, winners from Tripura received 1 gold and 4 silver medals in the IndiaSkills 2021 Regional Competition for the Eastern Zone. Overall, 98 candidates from 8 states and union territory were declared winners in the competition. Governor of Bihar, Shri Phagu Chauhan felicitated the winners at Bapu Sabhaghar, Patna and awarded each of them a cash prize of Rs 21,000 along with a gold medal. Gold demand down as ETF outflows outweigh strength in other sectors

World Gold Council has issued its third quarter report of 2021, which shows demand for gold* fell 7% year-on-year and 13% quarter-on-quarter to 831t, primarily due to outflows from gold-backed exchange-traded funds (gold ETFs).Net gold ETF sales were relatively small (27t), but when compared to the pandemic-induced buying surge of a year earlier, this was enough to place overall gold demand into a year-on-year decline, despite demand increasing in all other sectors. IndiGo starts direct flights from Shillong to Dibrugarh under RCS scheme
