The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has renewed its commitment to accelerating renewable energy expansion in the North-Eastern region. Speaking at an event titled “Financing Renewable Energy in the North Eastern Region” in Guwahati, Chairman and Managing Director Pradip Kumar Das highlighted the region’s crucial role in India’s clean energy roadmap. Shri Das informed that India’s renewable energy capacity has tripled since FY14 and is projected to double again by FY2030, requiring investment of around ₹28 lakh crore.
