A late-night firing incident created panic in South Hafani village under Assam’s South Karimganj constituency after miscreants allegedly opened fire during a dispute related to a mobile phone theft. Two people were seriously injured in the incident, police said. According to initial reports, several rounds of gunfire were heard, disturbing the otherwise calm area and triggering an immediate police response.
