He said the programme reflects the honesty, commitment and people-centric approach of the Narendra Modi government, while also serving as a model of good governance.
The Jan Kalyan Shibir was attended by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and state party chief Abhishek Debroy.
The Minister further said that the abbreviation “NE” now stands for “New Engine” of India’s growth.
He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasised the development of transportation infrastructure as a key driver of transformation and economic progress.
Sonowal further said that, owing to the Prime Minister’s vision, policies and intent, nearly 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty in the country.
