Yamaha revives MotoGP editions, expands FZ colour range in India

India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. on Tuesday announced the return of the popular Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition for the R15 V4 and MT-15 Version 2.0 motorcycles, citing strong customer demand for its racing-inspired models. The company also expanded the colour palette of its FZ range with new shades and updated graphics for the 2026 lineup. The latest MotoGP editions of the Yamaha R15 V4 and MT-15 Version 2.0 feature the brand’s signature MotoGP-inspired livery across the tank shrouds, fuel tank and side panels, along with race-bred graphics and premium styling elements aimed at enhancing their sporty appeal while reinforcing Yamaha’s racing heritage.

As part of the update, the 2026 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid will now be offered in a new Ice Storm colour scheme, while the existing Matte Black variant gets refreshed graphics. The Yamaha FZ-S Fi has also received a new Metallic Black colour option, giving the motorcycle a more muscular and premium street presence. The motorcycles are priced at Rs 1,76,050 for the Yamaha R15 V4 MotoGP Edition, Rs 1,77,230 for the MT-15 MotoGP Edition, Rs 1,39,200 for the FZ-S Fi Hybrid and Rs 1,29,880 for the FZ-S Fi Standard (all ex-showroom, Delhi).

In Kolkata, dealers expect the refreshed lineup to attract young buyers and motorcycle enthusiasts ahead of the festive season. The return of the MotoGP editions, coupled with the updated FZ colour options, is likely to strengthen Yamaha’s presence in the premium commuter and entry-level performance motorcycle segments, where styling and brand heritage continue to influence purchasing decisions.
