Xiaomi India has launched its first Mini LED television lineup in India with the introduction of the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED Series, marking the company’s entry into the premium large-screen home entertainment segment. The new series is powered by QD Mini-LED technology that combines Quantum Dot colour and Mini LED backlighting to deliver improved brightness, contrast, and colour accuracy. The televisions offer peak brightness of 1200 nits and support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Filmmaker Mode for enhanced cinematic viewing. The lineup also features 4K Ultra HD resolution, DLG 120Hz, MEMC, and Auto Low Latency Mode for smoother gaming and sports viewing experiences.
Commenting on the launch, Anuj Sharma said larger screens now demand advanced display technologies that can ensure better brightness control, deeper blacks, and consistent picture quality across bigger panels. The series includes a 34W quad-speaker system with Dolby Audio and DTS:X support. It runs on Xiaomi’s PatchWall interface and supports AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Miracast, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity.
In Kolkata, the growing demand for premium smart televisions in the city is being driven by rising consumption of OTT content, live sports streaming, and gaming among urban households. Retailers in Kolkata expect strong interest in the 65-inch and 75-inch variants, particularly during festive and summer shopping periods as consumers increasingly shift towards large-screen entertainment setups at home.
