VIDA, powered by Hero, has unveiled its ‘Bengal’s #1 Shakti’ installation at College Square Sarbojanin Durgotsab in Kolkata, combining the cultural significance of Durga Puja with the theme of clean energy and sustainable mobility.
The installation at College Square Park depicts Maa Durga through illuminated line work against the backdrop of the park’s lake. Two life-size VIDA battery sculptures positioned alongside the artwork symbolise the energy behind her strength. Local artisans, or *karigars*, have crafted the installation’s frame from reclaimed metal, adding an element of material reuse to the display.
The illuminated artwork and its reflection on the lake after sunset offer a contemporary interpretation of Shakti, linking Bengal’s cultural traditions with the possibilities of greener mobility. The initiative also reflects VIDA’s efforts to engage consumers through experiences rooted in local culture and community.
In Kolkata, the association provides VIDA with an opportunity to strengthen its visibility in a city where Durga Puja serves as a major platform for public engagement and brand outreach. By connecting electric mobility with a prominent cultural celebration, the company is seeking to build consumer awareness around cleaner energy and future-ready transportation.
The installation will remain open to visitors throughout the Durga Puja celebrations.
