Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president Atul Bora on Monday called upon party workers to intensify public outreach, strengthen the regional party’s organisational network at the grassroots and actively engage with the masses.
“With the upcoming Mising Autonomous Council elections approaching, I called upon our dedicated karmakartas to intensify public outreach and strengthen our organisational network at the grassroots. Through unity, dedication and sustained public engagement, we must work with renewed determination to strengthen the AGP’s base and secure a stronger mandate for the party,” Bora said.
Attending a party workers’ meeting of Anchalik Committees under 33 Jorhat Autonomous Council, held at Bahphola under Teok LAC, Bora discussed preparations for the observance of the AGP’s 42nd foundation day on October 14.
Reaffirming the party’s shared commitment to the party’s enduring ideals, regional aspirations and the welfare of the people of Assam, he underlined the significance of the party karmakartas’ outreach programmes, saying that the grassroots workers “are the true strength and backbone of the AGP.”
Party leaders along with other AGP office-bearers and workers from the district, LAC, Anchalik, panchayat and various organisational levels were present during the meeting.
AGP is a key ally of the BJP-led NDA government in Assam.
“The Himanta Biswa Sarma-led NDA government in Assam has ushered in unprecedented development across all sectors, reaching every nook and corner of the state. Our collective responsibility is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every community and household,” Bora stated.
