Vi bundles Spotify Premium with prepaid plans to strengthen entertainment offerings

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has partnered with Spotify to introduce Spotify Premium as a bundled benefit across select prepaid recharge plans, aiming to strengthen its entertainment portfolio and attract India’s growing base of digital-first consumers. The telecom operator on Monday launched three new prepaid recharge options that include Spotify Premium at no additional cost alongside voice, data and entertainment benefits. The flagship Rs. 435 Non-Stop Hero plan offers unlimited 4G/5G data, unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, JioHotstar (Mobile) access and Spotify Premium with 28 days validity.

The Rs. 250 prepaid plan provides 2GB data, unlimited calls, 300 SMS and Spotify Premium for 28 days, while the Rs. 230 add-on pack includes 30GB high-speed data, access to Spotify Premium and more than 20 OTT platforms, including JioHotstar, ZEE5, SonyLIV, FanCode and Lionsgate Play, also valid for 28 days. Users can activate Spotify Premium through the Vi App after recharging with an eligible plan by claiming the benefit and signing in with an existing or new Spotify account. The subscription remains linked to the recharge cycle and can be renewed with subsequent eligible recharges.Vi said the latest offering expands its entertainment ecosystem, which already includes access to streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, SonyLIV and ZEE5 across various prepaid and postpaid plans.

In Guwahati, the bundled plans are expected to appeal to the city’s young smartphone users, students and professionals who increasingly rely on mobile data for music, video streaming and digital entertainment. The integration of Spotify Premium with affordable prepaid recharges could strengthen Vi’s competitiveness in the Guwahati telecom market, where operators continue to compete through value-added digital services alongside connectivity.
