Consumer electrical and electronics brand V-Guard Industries Limited has won the prestigious Performance Excellence Award at the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMC RBNQA) 2025, marking a major milestone for the company in its first year of participation. The recognition was awarded to V-Guard as a corporate manufacturing entity representing five manufacturing facilities located at Chavadi, Kashipur, Perundurai, Sikkim Unit 2, and Roorkee. The IMC RBNQA is considered one of India’s leading benchmarks for organisational excellence and is modelled on the Malcolm Baldrige framework of the United States.
The evaluation process included a detailed performance review of V-Guard’s manufacturing operations and corporate functions, followed by an extensive on-site assessment at the company’s Chavadi facility. The assessment covered areas such as leadership, operational excellence, customer focus, workforce engagement, and business performance. V-Guard Managing Director Mithun Chittilappilly said the award reflected the company’s commitment to operational excellence, process maturity, and continuous improvement across its manufacturing ecosystem.
The company said its proprietary VGMEA 2.0 framework played a key role in improving operational efficiency, standardisation, and quality management across facilities. In Kolkata, the recognition could strengthen V-Guard’s brand positioning in eastern India, where demand for consumer electrical and home appliances continues to grow steadily. Retailers in Kolkata market noted that quality certifications and manufacturing excellence awards often enhance customer confidence and support premium product positioning in competitive urban markets.
