TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS Apache Junior Programme, a grassroots motorsport initiative aimed at identifying and nurturing young racing talent in India. As part of the programme, the company has handed over 10 TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles to the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), which will use them to train aspiring racers aged 10 to 14 years under a structured rider development programme.
The initiative offers professional coaching at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA), where participants will receive training on specially developed Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles under the guidance of experienced instructors and TVS Racing champions. The programme focuses on developing racing fundamentals such as discipline, precision, control and safety in a controlled environment.
TVS Motor said the programme creates a clear pathway for young riders, progressing from the Apache Junior Programme to the TVS OMC Rookie Category, RR 310 Expert Category and eventually the TVS Racing International Championship.
Commenting on the initiative, VimalSumbly, Head – Premium Business, TVS Motor Company, said the programme fills the gap in structured racing training for children below the competitive racing age of 15 and strengthens India’s grassroots motorsport ecosystem.
In Guwahati, the initiative is expected to generate greater interest in motorsports among young enthusiasts in the Northeast, where motorcycle riding culture continues to expand. Industry observers believe such programmes could encourage participation in professional racing while also strengthening awareness of safe and responsible riding among aspiring riders in the region.
TVS Apache, which marks 20 years of racing-inspired performance this year, has built a global community of over 7 million riders across 90 countries, with the company continuing to leverage its “Track to Road” philosophy to develop both high-performance motorcycles and future racing talent.
