Turkish Airlines has been named the Best Food & Beverage Airline in Europe at the 2026 APEX Best Airline Awards, marking the fifth time the carrier has received the prestigious recognition. The award was presented during the APEX Awards Ceremony held in Dublin, Ireland, on June 10 as part of the Future Travel Experience EMEA, Ancillary & Retailing Event.
The award was based on verified passenger feedback collected in partnership with TripIt by Concur. More than one million flights operated by over 600 airlines worldwide were evaluated during the 2026 assessment period. Passengers rated airlines across categories including seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi.
Turkish Airlines Chief Executive Officer AhmetOlmuştur said the recognition reflected the dedication and craftsmanship of the airline’s teams in delivering a high-quality dining experience. He thanked passengers for their continued trust and support.
APEX Group CEO Dr Joe Leader praised the airline for transforming in-flight dining into a showcase of culture, hospitality and national pride. He said Turkish Airlines continues to set benchmarks in aviation through its culinary offerings and service standards.
Turkish Airlines said it remains focused on enhancing passenger experience through its Flying Chef programme, diverse menus and evolving catering concepts across its global network spanning more than 130 countries on six continents.
In Kolkata, the recognition is expected to strengthen Turkish Airlines’ appeal among leisure and business travellers from eastern India. With growing demand for international travel from Kolkata, premium onboard services and award-winning dining experiences are becoming important factors influencing airline choice among passengers.
