Topcem Cement, a concrete major, has coordinated liberated from cost waterfall treatment and waterfall medical procedure camp. The primary target of this camp is to contact the matured and destitute individuals with waterfall in towns and giving back the vision to those that have preventable visual deficiency. Eye Doctors – An Eye Institute & Surgery Centre, Guwahati is the hospital partner in identifying the villages, sensitizing the community, building capacities for the support and providing the best-in-class cataract facility to the patients in their surgical centre in Guwahati.
The camp is being organized in two phases. In the first phase, people are being screened (February 01 – February 10) and in the second phase cataract surgery will be conducted from February 15 to February 28, 2022.The camp which started on February 01,2022, registered 300nos. patients till February 15, 2022. The camp is spread across the villages of three districts of Assam – Darrang, Udalguri and Baska.

Topcem understands the responsibility towards the society and thus this free of cost cataract treatment and cataract surgery camps were conducted in the rural pockets for treatment of villagers. Since the year 2018, more than 100 patients have received this service. This year, a total of 40 patients will receive this service.
