Two men arrested by chopra police along with firearms

The Chopra police arrested two men along with firearms. The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Jabir Alam and Dabir Alam. Reportedly, the police at first arrested Mohammad Jabir Alam along with firearms. Following which, he was taken into police custody. Upon learning regarding Dabir Alam’s whereabouts, the police launched operations at the Chopra Jharagachh area and got hold of him. One round of ammunition and a firearm was recovered from his possession.

The Bharatiya Yuva Morcha organized a voluntary blood donation camp and a free eye check-up camp at the Islampur bus terminus, on Monday. The camp was inaugurated by Gautam Biswas, North Dinajpur District President of Bharatiya Yuva Morcha, and Soumarup Mandal, Observer of Islampur Vidhan Sabha. Gautam Biswas also donated blood during the camp. BJP Mandal president Sandeep Bhattacharya stated that the collected blood will be sent to the blood bank of Islampur Sub-Divisional Hospital Blood Bank.

The Siliguri police, on Tuesday night, launched operations and arrested a man along with a 9mm pistol. The arrested accused has been identified as Debananda Joshi (52). In this context, East Zone ACP Swapan Sarkar stated that the accused is a resident of the Siliguri Ward No. 05 Ganganagar area. A 9mm pistol was recovered from his possession, which was planned to be transported to Nepal.The arrested accused was produced before the Siliguri court today.
