52 killed in Russian mine accident

A total of 52 people, including six rescuers, were killed after smoke occurred in a coal mine in Russia’s Kemerovo Region. It was the most deadly mine accident in five years in the country. Seven children and two adults have been killed in a shooting at a school in the Russian city of Kazan, officials say. Twenty-one other people, mostly children, were injured.
