IndiaSkills: 50 candidates won gold and 48 received silver medals

In the IndiaSkills 2021 Regional Competition for the Eastern Zone, winners from Mizoram received 3 gold and 6 silver medals. Overall, 98 candidates from 8 states and union territory were declared winners in the competition. Governor of Bihar, Shri Phagu Chauhan felicitated the winners at Bapu Sabhaghar, Patna. He awarded each of them a cash prize of Rs 21,000 along with a gold medal. The first runners up were given Rs 11,000 and a silver medal. 76-year-old man, believed to be head of the world’s largest family, dies in Mizoram

The head of the world's largest family has died in the Mizoram state. 76 year old Ziona Chana, the head of a religious sect that practiced polygamy, died on Sunday, leaving behind 38 wives, 89 children and 36 grandchildren. Chana reportedly suffered from diabetes and hypertension. Doctors said that Chana was rushed to hospital on Sunday evening when his condition deteriorated at home in his village, Baktawng Tlangnuam.
