75 trains cancelled due to Cyclone named Jawad

With the cyclonic storm, Jawad, expected to make landfall, Indian Railways has cancelled around 36 trains that were scheduled to depart on December 4. These mostly include trains that were scheduled to depart from Visakhapatnam, Howrah and Puri. Further, 38 trains scheduled to depart on December 5 and one on December 6 have also been cancelled as a precautionary measure. Low-pressure system in Bay of Bengal intensifies into cyclonic storm ‘Jawad’

A low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm 'Jawad', the India Meteorological Department said on Friday. The cyclonic storm is likely to reach the west-central Bay of Bengal off the coast of north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha by Saturday morning, the IMD said.
