A cyclonic storm Dana is now tearing over coastal Odisha and is expected to hit the state early on Friday morning, bringing with it thunderstorms and a lot of rain. Cyclone Dana is expected to bring significant rainfall to coastal Odisha and southern West Bengal. According to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, 3–4 lakh residents of the designated "danger zone" had left by Wednesday night.
