Total 84 IAS trainee officers and faculty members have tested positive for Covid  at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, said academy administration on Wednesday.  After the vast spread of the COVID-19, to control the spread of the virus further, the administration has made containment zones inside the academy. India registers over 2.5 lakh fresh COVID-19 cases, 385 deaths in last 24 hrs

India reported 2,58,089 fresh COVID-19 cases and 385 deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday. The total number of COVID-19 infections in the country has moved up to 3,73,80,253 including 16,56,341 active cases. Active cases account for 4.43 per cent of the total infections. The Puducherry health department said,  30 health officials including doctors have tested positive for Covid-19 last week. In a statement on Sunday, the health department's Director, G. More than 300 Parliament staffers tested positive for Covid-19 between January 9 and 12, according to sources. India records 1,79,723 cases of COVID, 146 deaths

India witnessed single-day rise of 1,79,723 covid  cases taking the total toll to 3,57,07,727, including 4,033 cases of the Omicron variant reported across 27 states and union territories, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Monday. The number of active cases has increased to 7,23,619, the highest, while the death toll has climbed to 4,83,936 with 146 fatalities, the data updated later stated.
