India reported 2841 fresh infections in the last 24 hours, stated the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday. India’s active caseload now stands at 18,604 with active cases now constituting 0.04% of the country’s total positive cases. As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.74% with 3295 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,25,73,460. Medical experts believe that Covid-19 could never develop into a normal seasonal flu, Helsinki's Ilta-Snomat newspaper reported. Global Covid caseload tops 400 mn

The global coronavirus caseload has topped 400 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 5.76 million and vaccinations to over 10.09 billion, according to Johns Hopkins University. The University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and the death toll stood at 400,487,672 and 5,762,582, respectively, while the total number of vaccine doses administered has increased to 10,096,476,161. 125 passengers on a Global Flight tested Covid +ve

On Thursday a total of 125 passengers on a Milan-Amritsar global flight were found to be Covid-positive when tested on arrival in Amritsar. Officials said there were a total of 179 passengers on the charter flight YU-661 that landed at the Amritsar airport at around 1.30 PM yesterday.
