According to the company's chief executive, Serum Institute Of India has applied to the country's drug regulator and the health ministry for full approval of its Covid-19 vaccine Covishield. More than 1.25 billion doses of AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine, branded as Covishield, have been given in India by Serum Institute. AIIMS Delhi starts screening of children for Covaxin trials

The trial on children has already started at AIIMS Patna to see if the Bharat Biotech jab is suitable for children. Karnataka’s Covid recoveries cross 24-lakh mark
