Sonowal lays foundation of multi-purpose flood shelter home at Lakhimpur Government frames project for protection of erosion hit Bonpurai-Jamugurihat areas Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today laid the foundation stone of the multipurpose flood shelter home at Bahgarah in Bihpuria of Lakhimpur district at a cost of Rs. 2.51 crore. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of Majuli police station and Garhmur police station at Majuli along with a guest house for the police personnel. The police stations are built while reflecting the spiritual and cultural mosaic of Majuli in their architecture. Speaking at the inauguration programme, the Chief Minister said that work culture of police force has improved tremendously in the last four and half years and an environment has been developed where public can come to police stations to register complaints without any apprehension.
