Panasonic inaugurates new manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh

A wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation Panasonic Life Solutions India announced the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The facility aims to develop market synergies by providing swift material deliveries and customer delight. The factory also aims to produce more than 200 mil pieces of switches per year in the next 5 years. The ‘highly automated’ unit is spread over 133,584 sq.mt and currently covers a floor area of 37,025 sq.mt. Car accident kills nine in Andhra Pradesh; PM Modi announces ex-gratia

Nine people were killed in a collision between a lorry and a car in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. The accident was reported from Anantapuram district in Budagavi village of the state. Venkata Swamy, Sub Inspector of police, Uravakonda Police Station commented that the car was carrying a total of nine passengers including the driver. "The victims were returning to Nimmagallu. The police have registered a case and further investigation is underway," said Venkata Swamy.
