Amazon’s delivery infrastructure expansion

Amazon has notably ramped up its delivery infrastructure and added thousands of delivery partners to the network to serve the rising customer demand ahead of the festive season. The company augmented its delivery network and added about 200 delivery stations, including those operated by Delivery Service Partners across the country. These include in many remote northeastern towns such as Champhai, Kolasib, Lumding and Mokokchung. Amazon eliminates single-use plastic in packaging

Amazon India today announced that it has achieved a significant milestone in its efforts towards sustainability by eliminating all single-use plastic in packaging originating from its 50+ fulfilment centres in India. In September 2019 the company had pledged to meet this goal in an accelerated timeframe by June 2020, in an effort to build an environmentally sustainable supply chain.
