AIIMS Director, Dr Randeep Guleria said that we are hoping that by October India will have its own vaccine for children. It has been found that kids usually have mild symptoms of coronavirus. The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in collaboration with the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB) have done two separate studies which have shown that the Delta variant of COVID-19 can infect people who have received one or two jabs of either Covishield or Covaxin.
