Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said on Sunday that Ladakh will soon have South East Asia’s first Night Sky Sanctuary. The Minister also informed that the Sanctuary is being set up with the help of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics Bengaluru which is affiliated with the Department of Science & Technology. Actually it will be located at Hanle village in Eastern Ladakh. In reality this is very good step taken by the government as people will able to see India’s first Night Sky Sanctuary which will help them to study science.
Today people are very much interested in studying science and actually they want to explore everything by studying it. This Night Sky Sanctuary is very unique and people from everywhere will want to see it. Situated in the Western Himalayas at an elevation of 4,500 meters (14,764 ft) it is one of the world’s highest located sites for optical, infrared and telescopes. People should admire this creation as it will help many people to study science and make India proud in this field.
