Registrations for the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2027 have opened for students seeking admission to undergraduate law programmes at Symbiosis Law Schools in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur.
Conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), SLAT 2027 will be held on December 19 and December 26, 2026, at 62 centres across India. The computer-based test will comprise 60 questions to be answered in 60 minutes and will cover Legal Reasoning, Logical Aptitude, Analytical Skills, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Candidates can appear for the test twice, with the higher score considered for evaluation. There will be no negative marking.
The test serves as the admission gateway to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.), B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. LL.B. programmes. Candidates must have passed Class XII with at least 45% marks, while the minimum requirement for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates is 40%.
Registration and fee payment will close on December 4, 2026. The fee is ₹2,550 per test, excluding applicable government taxes, with an additional ₹1,000 per programme selected.
The opening of SLAT registrations is expected to draw interest from law aspirants in Kolkata and eastern India, where demand for established private legal education institutions has been growing. The availability of test centres across India also provides greater accessibility to students from the region. Symbiosis Law School Pune was ranked seventh among law institutions in the 2025 NIRF rankings.
